Stress is ever present in each and everyone’s existence. Stress can be the result of a number of different factors which may be internal or external in nature. The cause of the stress may not be readily apparent, but ignoring it can seriously harm your health. To avoid unwanted stress it is necessary to know the facts causing it so that it becomes easy to deal with.
Some stress can actually be healthy while others are adverse and unpleasant. Stress can enhance performance, boost energy, and help us make deadlines. Anyone who has attended a job interview or done any public speaking has had a case of butterflies. In healthy individuals the stress usually subsides when the trigger event is over.
Unhealthy stress does not abate, though, and just causes more and more problems. it can be a factor in dry mouth, depression, fatigue, irritability, restlessness, weight inconsistencies and hair loss. Stress is a cause of anxiety, depression, hypertension, dependence, and other stress related illnesses. Stress can lead to many problems in people suffering from it like lack of concentration, irritation, focusing on negative thoughts, hesitation to interact with other people and lack of a healthy sex drive.
If you feel that you are getting a lot of these symptoms at once then you may be under terrible stress. Stress will harm your emotional well-being as well as your physical health. Set aside one hour each day and do something completely unrelated to the source of your stress. Work at a “mindless” hobby, or get a mundane part-time job.
